What are your opening times?

How Old do I have to be to climb?

At Clip N’ Climb Newcastle you have to be 4 and above to climb.

If I am not climbing do I have to pay and where would I go?

Customers that are not climbing do not have to pay and can enjoy the café or can walk around the arena with their children.

 

PLEASE NOTE: No prams are allowed on the Clip n’Climb arena.

Can I bring my own food?

We regret that food and drink purchased elsewhere may not be consumed on the Clip N’ Climb premises. The only exception to this is baby food. This policy is necessary for us to comply with our liability insurance and to ensure we adhere to local health and safety regulations.

We do have a on-site cafe available that offers a wide range of hot and cold food & beverage options.

Is my booking refundable?

No. All bookings have limited availability and bookings are therefore non-refundable. Bookings may be changed to a different date if we are given at least 24 hours’ notice.

is there a weight limit?

The weight limit  to use the climing walls is 150kg/ 22 stone.

I have no previous climbing experience, is Clip 'n Climb for me?

Clip ‘n Climb is designed to be fun for EVERYONE regardless of ability! The difficulty of our challenges vary so there’s something for everyone to have a go at, from beginners to experts. Our staff will also be there to assist with those less confident.

How long do Clip 'n Climb sessions last?

70-75 Minutes – Sessions comprise of a 10-15 minute safety briefing and harness fitting, followed by 55 minutes in the arena and 5 mins to debrief and remove your harnesses.

When do I need to arrive?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session so we can ensure you are signed in and ready for briefing.

Is there parking on site?

Yes, we have limited parking at the front entrance of the centre. If these parking spaces are full we also have a shared parking to the left of the entrance gate at Benfield Business Park next to Peacocks. Please ensure you arrive in enough time so you can find a place in close proximity to the centre.

 

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing and trainers.

Only trainers can be worn to climb in the Clip n’ Climb Arena. For safety reasons we cannot allow any other type of footwear to be worn during your session.

Long hair must be tied back and all loose jewellery, hats or hooded tops must be removed prior to climbing for safety reasons.

Do I need to bring any equipment with me?

No, equipment is provided by us and there are no additional hire fees for this.

Do you have wheelchair access?

The Clip’ N Climb Arena is all on the ground floor and we have all necessary Disabled Parking and toilet facilities.

Do you have lockers?

Yes, we have small lockers and changing facilities are available just to the left of our entrance. They are big enough for coats or a small bag, however require a £1 deposit for them to work. Please be aware there is a £5 charge if a locker key is lost.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, we sell gift vouchers. They can be bought on the book now online checkout on our website or can be bought on-site. All vouchers have an expiry of 1 year after the selected date.
